Hi friends!

I am so happy you have stumbled upon my little blog. I am brand new to this, never having done anything of the sort in the past! I recently gave birth to my sweet little girl, Lilly Grace who has been the greatest blessing in my husband and I's life. After years of trying to conceive and going through IVF we finally Welcomed our girl on May 1, 2023! To say I am blessed would be an understatement. After having her and trying to get used to my new (beautiful, but sometimes overwhelming life) I found that there are many out there like me who feel like we don't know what we are doing. I have seen so many blogs, videos, pictures and the ever-popular TikToks of people making motherhood, marriage, homemaking, and working seem like a picture-perfect fairy tale! I am here to tell you that in the 3 short months of being a mother that you are NOT alone. It is not all rainbows and matching baby clothes. It is dirty diapers, sleepless nights, cradle cap, and jaundice while also being belly laughs, tummy time, snuggles and kisses. A little about me: I am a 30-year-old first time mom, accountant, wife to my soul mate and entrepreneur. My husband and I met and started "dating", if you can call it that, in 7th grade when I was 12 years old. We have done every aspect of our adult lives together, and this year we have been together for 18 years. Oh, the stories I can tell you of our childhood, high school, college and all of the in between. My passions are travel, food, books and time spent creating memories. These are so important to me, and I strive to keep up with it all. I have worked as an accountant since graduating from University of Houston in 2015. Thanks to the Covid Pandemic I now work from home - as I know so many of you have started doing as well. It has been one good thing to come out of a horrible period in all of our lives. Now that remote working is becoming more and more common, I have realized that women, us moms, are having to learn a new way of life. We have always been taught you can stay home and raise your babies or be a working mother - both routes inviting judgment and  unsolicited opinions. Well, now here we are... doing both, and more, all at the SAME time. Changing diapers, answering e-mails, feeding the baby, calling into a meeting, entertaining your 2-year-old and presenting this quarters numbers all while taking care of the home and trying to keep our heads above water. It is a new era that we are all learning to maneuver together! Which brings me to why I have started this blog. I was trying to find a place I could go to find someone going through what I was - looking for advice, product recommendations, funny stories I could relate to, all by someone I felt I could trust. I found some websites that offered one or two of these, but never all in the same place. So here I am, trying to create a space that offers that, to even just one person, by telling my stories, offering advice on what I have learned and sharing the experience of my life. All while just being me...
